Hose markings

My vacuum hoses are brittle and need to be replaced. Seems like the consensus is to go to any auto parts store and just buy any hose and swap it out. I did notice there are markings on the original hoses, but I'm not sure what it refers to. Does anyone know what diameter these markings indicate? Thank you.
