Will 265/75-R16 fit stock?

Just wondering if 265/75-R16 tires will fit my stock 2004 4x4 2.7L. Stock size is 265/70-R16, which measure 30.6" diameter. the 265/75-R16's measure 31.6" tall. I'd guess that there wouldn't be an issue, but you never know, and inch taller could rub.

Thanks

Don't think rubbing will be an issue, should be OK.

There was on my truck when I went from 265/70R16 to 265/75R16. It rubs on the frame.

Did you guys notice a decrease in gas mileage after going up to 265/75?

I cant really definitively say since my winters are 265/75 and my summers are 265/70. I haven't run both in the same seasonal period with the same driving conditions but you will likely loose a few MPG.

I had 265/75R16 on my truck when I bought it. I got them off real fast....didn't even make it home from the dealer before I had traded them in on some 265/70R16's....and I'll tell you the truck's drivability is much nicer with the stock size. it was floaty, boaty, and just generally felt like crap to drive. I wouldn't recommend going with the 265/75's at all.

I have the Firestone Destination LE in the 265/75/16 size. It looks nicer since it fills up the wheel well, and nothing rubs. There isn't a noticeable difference in how smooth the ride is, and I went from 300 miles per tank to 255 miles per tank. I have had the tires since Dec2010, and whenever I pump gas I wish I never bought them. If anyone wants to trade then just PM me.

Does anyone know what I could have done for future reference?

I could be the winter mix for the gasoline that's giving you crappier MPG. Maybe wait a few months and see if your MPG improves with the summer mix.

Thanks, but I doubt that could be the problem. I was routinely getting 300miles per tank every winter prior to the switch in tires. I didn't know anything about the winter mix though, and Firestone won't be the next brand I go with in 4-5 years.

they will fit fine, i ran them on mine before my lift and changed to 255/85's. mine never rubbed on anything, and i only lost like maybe 1mpg if that. it just depends on what type of tire you go with that will really change you mpg. ie mosre aggressive= more drag= less mpg. I loved mine.
